Academic Enrichment Programs

Academic Enrichment Programs occurs on a weekend basis, from 2:15pm to 5:30pm, with the help of staff helping students understand and complete homework assignments and work on any urgent skills they may need help with.

Students rotate through multiple rotations, an academic station where they work with the help of tutors to finish their homework from the week, a station where they receive healthy meals and snacks, and a station that focuses either on their athletic needs or Social-Emotional needs.

With a student to tutor ratio between 2:1 and 1:1, Academic Enrichment program tutors provide students with the individual assistance they often do not receive at school, which is able to help them gain confidence within their academic skills.

Helping students stay on track with their academics ensures that their knowledge builds throughout the school year, making it more likely that they build confidence and will gain new knowledge and move on to the next grade.

Individual Tutoring Sessions

Individual Tutoring Sessions are provided for students that will need extra 1:1 help with Homework or any needs that will help the individual student academically succeed. This will need to be requested by the parents of the individual student, teacher, or YES Foundation staff member.
